Born on June 22, 1974, in Madras (now Chennai), Tamil Nadu, India.
His father, S. A. Chandrasekhar, is a film director, and his mother, Shoba Chandrasekhar, is a playback singer and vocaul.
Vijay’s father is of Christian descent, while his mother is Hindu.
Film Career:
Vijay made his debut as a child actor in the Tamil film “Vetri” in 1984.
His transition to lead roles began with the film “Naalaiya Theerpu” in 1992.
